The Candescent Vessel officially recognized under copyright

Hey everyone!

I am excited to show everyone what I got in the mail earlier this month!

That’s right, my second book is officially recognized as my own copyright by the US Copyright Office! 😀 If you haven’t had a chance to check it out here is a link to the kindle version/amazon paperback: The Candescent Vessel (The Sage of Hytrae Book 2) you can also find more links in the Where to Buy section at the top of the site.

It is always a good moment to see these kind of milestones with a published work. A big thank you to everyone who has bought my first and second books, number three is on the way. More on the third book coming soon!

Summer is arriving quickly

Hey everyone!

Summer is getting here quick, and with it much warmer weather. I just got back from a short vacation. We went to eastern and northern Ohio, so lots of things to see and do in those places. One place we went to was the Wilds. If you haven’t heard of them, they are a wildlife conservation group, that works with animals from many different places around the world, studies them and tries to help improve their lives in captivity and when possible return them to the wild. You can find out more about them at: https://thewilds.columbuszoo.org/

I’m back home and feeling more refreshed and ready to pour out more creative works.  I’ve been keeping my thoughts towards The Sage of Hytrae series lately, we are close to finishing the trilogy!  I’m hoping to have some more updates as the summer goes on. Have fun everyone, and don’t forget to use sunscreen!

Memorial Day

Hey everyone,

I would like to wish everyone a happy Memorial day.  I hope everyone has a chance to take at least a little time to reflect on all the real life heroes that have fought for our country, some of which paid for it with their lives. A big thank you to all of our vets. I’m sure just about everyone knows someone who served in the military, if you see them be sure to thank them for their service 🙂

Late May Update

Hey everyone!

I hope everyone is doing well. I’m glad things are warming up, and I’m hopping this means that some of the illnesses that have been roaming around will start to end as well (I’m tired of catching so many little bugs, better than big ones though I suppose).

I am happy to let everyone know that The Sage of Hytrae Book 3 is underway and I have actually starting writing the first draft. I’m not ready to announce a title yet, hopefully by end of August I will have a title ready for everyone. I’m hopping that the third and final installment in this trilogy will be as exciting as I have been writing the entire series.

As always, a big thank you to everyone who has bought my books, it is very encouraging when people read the work you’ve put so much time into.

May is here, and Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there.

Hey everyone!

I hope all the mothers out there had a wonderful Mother’s Day yesterday! I spent a fair bit of mine with my mom (who has helped me proof my books along with my wife), along with a portion of my family.

Spring is in full swing, and lots of people are starting to put out their gardens.  Fun fact: gardens are popular with home owners in the realm of Hytrae too. While you might not have read much about that fact in the past, you would have met no less than three farmers in the first two books. See if you can name one of the farmers in the comments (without looking it up in the books, that’d be cheating 😀 ).

End of April Update

Hey everyone!

Here we are at the end of another month. It goes by so fast. If we were in Hytrae we would have more days in a year to count down!

Anyway, I hope everyone has had a chance to pickup my latest book The Candescent Vessel, its available all over now for just $9.99 (in paperback).

Its been a busy month, and busier ones are still ahead, I appologize for the absence in posting, I will try to make a better effort to at least make two posts a month even when things are busy.

I hope everyone has been having a wonderful spring!

New Novel Project Announcement!

Hey Everyone!

I am happy to announce a new novel, I will give everyone the project name (the final title might differ on release at this point). The project name is The Last Prophet. The novel takes place in the darker but not too distant future here on earth. The end of the age is coming and God has appointed a very unlikely soul to be the final prophet to the people of earth. The story follows this person (more details to come) as the events that lead up their appointment as a prophet, and the events that follow.

I will periodically post updates on this project as I continue to work on it. I am playing around with the idea of publishing this novel with the help of Kickstarter. I will need to do some extra research to get this novel written in a timely manner, and that will be difficult with my “day job” alone. The novel will be taking place in another country (Not the US where I live), and since I’ve not actually been to the country that it takes place in I could really use help to set the scenes (I’ll talk more about where it takes place later).

This book is planned to be of similar length to my other novels but with the extra research involved, it will likely take longer to write. I want to make sure I accurately depict the locations, and people of the region, and as such extra care will be taken. I can write much quicker about entire worlds I envision in my mind, but since this takes place on earth; the best way to see it is to actually visit it! Let me know via the poll below if you think I should try to use kickstarter to help publish this novel.

April is here!

Hey everyone!

April is here, and with in comes more spring like weather and of course Thunderstorms (I live in Ohio).  I am hoping that this season brings lots of good things with it this year! Last week it had been a year since The Crystal Seal was released, and a full month since The Candescent Vessel came out. I have been working on getting things organized for Book three in that series (the final installment in the sage of Hytrae trilogy), as well as an entirely separate novel, that I will release more details on next week! So stay tuned!

End of March Update

Hi Everyone,

I hope everyone had a good Easter weekend.  We visited some family we rarely get to see which is always a nice treat.

I would like to thank everyone who has purchased The Candescent Vessel over the past month. This book has sold about as many as the first one did in the first month. As always I appreciate the feedback I’ve been getting, and I hope more people will have the chance to purchase one or both books soon! 😀

I plan to have some more news early next week, so stay tuned!

Happy Easter!

I know I’m almost a week early, but Happy Easter everyone!

Easter is one of those holidays that I don’t mind the decorations and stores stocking up early for. Something amazing happened on Easter a long time ago. Death itself was defeated, and our salvation was confirmed. If you want to find out more, read the gospel of Luke Chapter 23 verse 50 through the end of chapter 24 (that is Luke’s account of the burial and resurrection, you can read about his death earlier in Chapter 23).
