Summer update for 2020

Hey everyone!

Exciting news, I am once again doing a “summer of reading” where in july you will be able to pick up one or more of The Sage of Hytrae books for a discount! I am going to be promoting this heavier than any promition to date, so hopefully we will see many new people ready to read these exciting tales. I will have more exact details on pricing and dates in the next week or two.

More writing is underway, and I am still hopeful at getting a new book out this fall. This writing does include a new Hytrae based trilogy, which is my current “active” effort. I will have more to announce for that in the next couple of months.


I know this year has been crazy, and I hope all of you are healthy and safe. As always,

February Update

Hey Everyone!

Happy new year… oh little late for that haha. Yes the silence has passed, 2020 is planned to be a great year! This year The Crystal Seal is five years old this year! Crazy to think back to that time, my first book, the one that started the trilogy. Really, it was the first personal project I ever finished of any kind.

To celebrate I’m going to be throwing up a sale and price reduction on the kindle versions of all three books! Its not yet, but soon. I have some minor things I need to do first before I can throw up the sale (mostly make it more obvious that there are three books in the series haha). So I will have another post in the near future letting everyone know when the sale and price reductions are live.

Why tell everyone now then? I don’t even have a date to announce after all (I’m thinking early march ish). Well accountability is the first reason. If I tell people I’m more likely to actually get it done. Secondly, nothing is more frustrating to buy something just for it to have a price reduction, or a sale shortly after. So don’t buy kindle right now! *laughter* no one has bought it in months, but hey I can dream. Reminder, if you buy the paperback, you can get the corresponding ebook for free when you buy on amazon.

Anywho, what else? Surely that’s not all right? Well no, not all, but I have even less details about the next one. I am planning on releasing a new book this year! its not finished yet, I might have previously announced working on it, but maybe not. I know its not much to go on, well I guess next  to nothing to go on. But hey, look for something new to read towards the end of the year from me all the same. I will have more updates on this and any other projects later on.

Sorcerer’s Gamble Update

Hey guys,

 

I’m afraid I don’t have book cover art to upload with me tonight (I just simply don’t have that PC with me) but I wanted to give a quick update.

I have been able to eliminate all but one pesky formatting issue for the printed book (and the one that is left I have no idea how to fix, and if I cannot fix I can live with it). So all is good to be releasing on schedule next week (wow it’s coming up fast on me). If I can remember to either send my phone the images or get on my home PC to post there I will get the artwork up for everyone to see soon.

Anyway, I just felt like I should drop a quick note (I am not letting my launch date slip a third time). So, see you guys soon!

A synopsis for The Sorcerer’s Gamble

Hey everyone!

Sorry I didn’t get this out last week. Between working long hours at work, and fighting with KDP to get the print to look right (I’m about half way through that fight right now), I just didn’t have time to post until now.

I have sent the manuscript to the copyright agency, so the ball is rolling there. I will continue to get more done on the artwork side this week as I am able. I am hoping to have new banners for both this site and facebook.

Anyway, I am posting the synopsis from the back cover of my book below to give a little tease of what is to come later this month. Enjoy!

 

Mistar recovered a lost research tome that reveals the plot to bring Hytrae into darkness. He must race to alert the orders of magic before it is too late! During this time, Cyan and Lucy have trained over the winter at the Northern Monastery. Lucy easily passed her trials but Cyan has yet to attempt them. Three must stand at the end of the age, and Fate has a way of forcing you hand….

The Sorcerer’s Gamble Update

Hey Everyone!

Great news! The first draft of The Sorcerer’s Gamble is finished! I am super excited, as I am sure all of you are as well. This marks the beginning of the editing and revision process. I might have said this before, but I put my books through no less than four edits before I go to print. Don’t worry though, we are very much on schedule for our release on June 26th this year. I will be getting the second draft to my editing helpers in the next couple of weeks. In the mean time, I hope to get some early cover art on here to show all of you in the next couple of weeks as well. I will have site updates since a new book is launching, and lots of announcements to follow.  Until next time, keep the adventure alive!

The Sorcerer’s Gamble Promo

We began our journey following a young man named Cyan in search of adventure. He learned adventure is not carefree but often brings troubles and heartache with it.

We then heard a tale from Lucy, a young woman who found herself while on a different path then she had desired. She learned that who we are is discovered, when you fight for what you believe in.

Now, the story continues…

A new journey is coming, and a single voice will not be enough to tell it. Join Lucy, Cyan, and more on an adventure that was foretold thousands of years ago. Will Hytrae plummet into an age of darkness? Three must stand at the end of the age. In this climatic conclusion to the trilogy, a choice must be made. The Sage of Hytrae will determine the fate of the world.

The Sage of Hytrae Book 3 Update

Hello everyone,

I know this is late, but at least its here now ha ha. TSH 3 will be having a new name (since it would appear that the name I mentioned back in Dec is already in use). The Sage of Hytrae Book 3 will be known as “The Sorcerer’s Gamble”! This was the previous working title I had for the project, and so I feel it is a good fit.

I have also been working on cover art for The Sorcerer’s Gamble, but it is still to early to share. The book itself will be released this summer, I need to set a date or I’ll never finish, and so I will be also announcing a release date today!

The Sorcerer’s gamble will be released June 26th! This will be the climatic conclusion of The Sage of Hytrae trilogy, mark your calendars the wait is nearly over!

My plan is to have the first draft finished by Easter this year (April 1st and this is no joke), and put it through the normal revision process I have used before (I think book 1 and 2 both had no less than 7 revs before release). I plan to get a version of the cover art out for everyone to see in April as well. Plus I will be going to more regular updates again starting this week (since this is the first post). Be sure to check back here on Fridays to see the most up to date announcements concerning TSH and other projects I’m working on!

September Update

Hey everyone,

Just letting everyone know that we are still moving forward on the third book in my series. To help generate some excitement I offered that short story for free (it will always be free) last month.

This month we will be running a promotion on The Crystal Seal (the first book in the series). From September 12th through September 16th The Crystal Seal will be FREE on Amazon Kindle. This promotion won’t last long so be sure to check it out!

First Hytrae Short Released!

Hey everyone!

I am excited to announce that I have a short story from the Hytrae universe to share (and its free!). I have to warn everyone, there are some spoilers if you have not read The Crystal Seal or The Candescent Vessel. I would say the spoilers are medium grade, not story ruining but would prematurely expose you to information you would not have had yet before reading the first two books.

 

That being said, I hope everyone enjoys this short story. It takes place between The Candescent Vessel and the third  book in the trilogy. Without further ado. Here it is,

August Update

Hey everyone!

 

I hope this summer has been going well for all of you. I have been busy these past few weeks, and I can happily say that some of the busyness has been working on materials for book 3! I am hoping to have a short story posted on my site here before the end of the month. It is written, but I am still working on reviewing it. It takes place between where The Candescent Vessel left off, and before book 3 begins.  I plan on having a title for book 3 for everyone somewhat soon as well, so stay tuned for more info on both these great things, and of course more updates on The Sage of Hytrae trilogy!
