Keeping things going

Hey everyone!

I’ve been moved around on my work schedule, this has made it more difficult to stay on top of editing. The editing of The Candescent Vessel is still going and I still plan on getting it out on time, but I don’t have the artwork ready to show everyone this week. I can say that we are sticking to the same overall “Style” of the first book, but less blue and more Yellow… You’ll see what I mean.

Anyway, there are actually two prospective book covers I am creating.ย  I hope to have a (brief) voting period over which one should go on the published copy. So stay tuned for that opportunity! ๐Ÿ˜€

The Candescent Vessel Update

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to let everyone know that the review process is going well, and I should have it in the hands of my typo-squashing team soon (you know who you are).ย  We are on schedule for our release, which I will announce an official date early in January (I will announce the date in Jan. not that the release is in Jan. to be clear). I hope everyone has a happy new year, and other holidays going on (I celebrate Christmas, but I know that there are many other festive holidays going on this time of year).

This is my last post for the year, so next Monday I won’t have an update, but look for a new one in January (With a release date, I hope ๐Ÿ˜‰ ). Best wishes everyone, and have yourself a safe and pleasant week!

Monday Update

Hey everyone,

No surprise, lots of life busyness with the upcoming holidays. I am still working on the edit of the manuscript for The Candescent Vessel. I really want to get this done soon, so I might be burning some midnight oil on it again ha ha.

I imagined everyone is busy with the upcoming festivities, leave comments below of some of the things that you look forward to this time of year ๐Ÿ˜€

December is Here!

Hello everyone!

I’m sorry for not getting a post in last week. I spent a lot of time traveling and visiting family last week and honestly just wasn’t able to get on here. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and are looking forward to the rest of the holidays this year!

I am hoping to get some work done on the manuscript for The Candescent Vessel this week and weekend. I hope to be able to pass on some more information to everyone soon on that progress. Thanks for stopping by ๐Ÿ˜€

Late update

Hey everyone,

Sorry for the late update. I have lots of excuses from illness to Fallout 4, but those don’t matter right now. I hope everyone has had a chance to read the Synopsis for The Candescent Vessel. I am happy to report that the first draft of the manuscript is finished. I am now taking the all important steps to ensure quality through review. This process will take some time so I ask everyone to be patient.

The Candescent Vessel Synopsis

A cry wakes Lucy on the day after her coming of age ceremony. Cyan, a childhood friend, is in trouble. He is planning on becoming a mage and the whole town now knows it.ย Mages are not popular in the little town of Coppervain.ย She helps him get part of the last magic tome, then Cyan flees town. Before Lucy can even find out where he is going, fate strikes a second time. Light magic awakens within her, and she is sent off to the eastern monastery to discover her own destiny…
That is the synopsis of The Candescent Vessel (Book 2 in The Sage of Hytrae trilogy). Let me know what you think in the comments below!

Happy Halloween

Hi everyone!

Sorry for the late post. I hope everyone had a good and safe Halloween, and Dia de los Muertos.

This time of year is only celebrated in the kingdom of Nazrill. In that country it is custom to have a small ceremony for all your love ones who have already passed on. The ceremony includes a few words about each one whom your honoring, and a dinner where empty plates are left for each of those members. At some time during the ceremony a member of the family will dress up as a ghost or some other frightful creature, and try to scare other members of the family. This is done in good humor, and the first one to guess who it is in costume gets a special treat.

More information on The Sage of Hytrae Series

Hi Everyone!

You might have noticed that over the past week a new tab has appeared on the top of my page. It was brought to my attention at the Event earlier this month, that a person looking for information about the series had to dig quite a lot to find anything about the books themselves. So to remedy this, I have added the “About Hytrae” tab at the top of the page. This will have lots of good info about The Sage of Hytrae series, and the would it takes place in. It will contain as much spoiler free information as I can get out, and will be updated from time to time with more info. I hope this makes life easier for those trying to find out a little about the series. Thanks for the feedback!
